The Adobe Houses

The two Historic Adobe Houses in Santa Barbara, CA, were precisely (3D) documented and now are also being monitored because of a large excavation for the foundations of a new building on the adjacent lot. The drawings with the precise condition of walls and structures are used for comparison and monitoring in the future.  

Rectified images were produced for proper assessment of the fragile adobe walls. Existing cracks and faults were measured and are now being monitored.

With the exterior documentation data - the 3D information of the façades - we were able to create a precise perimeter outline, which in association with interior photogrammetric models and laser measurements allowed the production of accurate floor plans - for example, see all the variable wall's different thickness.
