Historic Preservation: - The
Legislature Building, Victoria BC. As a major earthquake is
expected in the Pacific Northwest Region, detailed CAD elevations were
produced for the building administration, as preventive, and as historical documentation.
Flexibility and Cost: Approximately 600 high-quality metric photographs were obtained,
recording the façades to a level of detail that only photographs can
achieve. If disaster occurs, and even more details are required for repair, the 600
metric photographs will provide colors, textures and additional dimensional
information that may not have been included on the first set of
drawings.

Distortion-free
and scaled photographs (rectified photographs) inserted in the CAD
drawings as layers, provide excellent color, texture, and anthromorphic
information - and if necessary, can provide additional dimensional
information. Whether single or in mosaic, these high-quality digitally rectified
photographs can be printed along with the CAD drawings. All documentation was saved to a CD, allowing easy
reproduction on any desktop printer.
